(Marshall McLean)
I wrote this song in October of 2005, its about this mentality that I struggle with that says everything should be easy all the time. this mind set often leaves me feeling jaded and uncontent. the woman I talk about in the second verse is the Church, I feel that often times she is too willing to sell Christ as someone easy.
not much to see, not much has been seen, no place to be, just inbetween, your ceiling's too high, your floor is too cold, your walls are too thin, your bones are too old.
they lied to you, they said it'd be easy, you jumped through their hoops but who were you pleasing? so how does it feel to be caught in the weather, when they looked in your eyes and said it'd get better? but your drenched in october rain, did they tell you about the rain?
your back to the window, the savior's good wife, while you weren't looking, she got crucified, she left you a messege on your machine, she said if you're busy, you can come die with me
