(Marshall McLean)
This is a song about letting go and finding something new and better in its place. The image of a dandelion is something fragile and only here for a moment, also like our time here. The lesson of faith has taught me to understand that behind everything we throw to the wind, will come back just a little bit better each time.
so long dandelion, the wind takes you where you're flying, fresh dreams and paper wings, and glimpses of diamond rings...and I know that you're lonley, cause I feel it inside...so please come home, little flower cause I'm all grown up in half-an-hour.
same place, different spaces, truth grows in strange places, whisper battle cries and warriors in disguise...and I've seen your surroundings and it's still safe to fly...so please come home, little flower cause we are married in half-an-hour.
tonight I rose above these ashes, a million burning paper wings, and I climbed up this mountain, my arms and legs all trembling, and with the richness of our history, I knew I'd find you here again, and with all the fury of a mystery, I let you go into the wind...
so I am waiting, little flower cause our world ends in half-an-hour.
good morning dandelion, the wind's brought you where you're flying, same dreams and golden wings and life-times spent with me.
